School Giving-Bamei Project

Who Your Money Will Help

Mondoro Charities, School Giving Bamei, is not only trying to help the schools in the Bamei area, but also hopes to affect the lives of the children and others in the Bamei area.  We hope not only to improve their lives, but also their school environment.  Here is how your donation will help us

Tserong Dejie is a 14 years old Tibetan girl. When she was young she had a severe fever and lost most of her hearing.   Her parents were not able to take care of her, so they sent her to live with her grandmother.  Tserong Dejie once had a hearing aide, but it has long since been broken.  Even though she can hardly hear anything, she loves to learn and to study.  Everyday she goes to school and sits in the classroom, even if she cannot hear or understand hardly anything.  She constantly tries to read out loud, but it is hard for others to understand her.  She is a poster child for the many children your donation to School Giving Bamei can help.  Your donation will help her to get proper medical care and a new hearing aid. Mondoro Charities hopes to make a difference One Child at a Time.

Nima Luori also has a hard time hearing and like Tserong he comes to school each day not able to hear what is going on.  NIma Luori is also developmentally challenged, so this compounds his learning difficulties.  Along with Tserong we would like to get him proper medical help and a new hearing aid.

Further education of the teachers. Many of the teachers in Bamei spend over 80% of their very small income (73 USD per month) to further their own education or that of their children.  We would like to be able to further their education, and hopefully also help improve the lives of some of the other children under their care.

The schools in Bamei are in terrible shape. Proper school kitchens are very much needed by all the schools in the area—most students seldom can go home for proper meals. All the kitchens are old and antiquated.  We would like to improve them with some basic kitchen equipment  and other basic structural needs such as roof repair. Some of the walls of the schools are badly in need of repair.  We hope our help will give these children a better environment for learning.  Basic school supplies and learning materials are also badly needed.

Even a small donation will make a huge difference in the lives of these children.   And as these donations come in and made a difference we will show you how your money has helped these unfortunate children.  To together we can make a difference to Help Our World – One Person at a Time!

Jack Chen. Jack lives in Chengdu. Besides raising Tibetan Dogs (Tibetan Terriers) Jack is also a tour guide who takes tours into the Tibetan region of China. For this reason, he knows this area very well and also knows the needs of the people in this area. This project would not be possible without his support and expertise in this region.

Steven Wrigley. Founder of The Global out Receach foundation. Steven is a former Brigham Young University intern at Mondoro (China, fall 2007) and currently studying business at BYU, with an emphasis on China. Steven has been helping us to spearhead a lot of the fund-raising efforts in the U.S., especially in the Provo, Utah area.
